They can be used to mend clothes, the needles can be bent and used as fish hooks and the string as fishing line, thread can be wound into string and string into rope, and they can be used for stitches, the risk of infections is probably higher than with surgical sutures but if that’s all you had you can use a sewing kit for that.

It’s a good little sewing kit except the scissors are pretty much junk so we recommend you upgrade your sewing kit by buying the stainless steel folding scissors we sell separately and then take out the pretty much junk scissors and have the stainless steel folding scissors in the sewing kit instead.

In addition to being great for sewing, arts and crafts, survival, and travel they’re also great for camping, for cutting fishing line, scrapbooking, fabric cutting for dress making, rolling your own legal cigarettes, grooming, and more. Can also be used to upgrade the sewing kits we sell separately because while they’re good little sewing kits the scissors they come with are pretty much junk and so we recommended taking out the pretty much junk scissors and add a pair of these stainless steel folding scissors in the sewing kit instead. They come with a thin coat of oil on them and in a little green colored case which is perfect if you plan on keeping them for long term storage for emergency preparedness but if you plan on using them to upgrade a sewing kit we recommend you wipe the thin layer of oil off and put aside the little green colored case. Has a loop for attaching to a keychain (not included) or lanyard (not included). Since they fold up they can’t accidentally poke a hole in your pocket or bag or poke you. These are made by a company called Newbested and so are higher quality than these type of scissors usually are and on the case it says they’re Westlake brand and says they’re “tripscissors” and the only marking on the scissors themselves is the word “CHINA” which is where they were made and it says that just on one side of the scissors (pictured). They're super compact so measure just 2 and 1/2” (inches) from their widest points when closed.

Be careful of the blades as they’re sharp and keep away from children unless used with close adult supervision.
