“Battle of the Bulge: Winter War” (2020) DVD (NEW, sealed) WWII (World War II) Movie Film $11

This film of “Battle of the Bulge: Winter War” (2020) is not a documentary and is about the Battle of the Bulge (also known as the Ardennes Offensive) which was the last major German offensive campaign on the Western Front during World War II. With Tom Berenger and Billy Zane. Not to be confused with the other film from this series (that is also not a documentary) that came out 2 years earlier of “Battle of the Bulge: Wunderland” (2018) (also with Tom Berenger and Billy Zane) and also not to be confused with the not very historically accurate and much older film of “Battle of the Bulge” (1965).

This DVD is guaranteed not to be bootleg as I bought it at Bi-Mart when they used to sell it and it even still has the Bi-Mart price sticker on it as well as the shrink wrap is Y-Fold sealed proving that it is factory sealed and not instead sealed by an at-home shrink wrap machine. And you can tell if something is Y-Fold sealed or not by looking at the far left-and-right edges of the top-and-bottom where the shrink wrap forms a “Y-shape” with the “folds” of the “seal” hence the name: “Y-Fold sealed.” And this DVD does not have 1 of those horrible stickers on the top that are a pain to cut through or take off and if you cut through them they look ugly and if you pull them off you have to do so very carefully to make it all come off and not damage the plastic of the DVD case and even then they usually leave behind sticky residue. Those stickers are called both “security stickers” and “title stickers” as they are designed to make it harder for a shoplifter to get the disc out to steal or open the case and take out any sensor inside and also make it easier of an employee to scan the bar code when just the tops are showing in a bin and since all DVD buyers hate them so much they have been almost totally discontinued for DVDs made in the last 10 or 15 years.

Due to the rise in walk-in store theft DVDs are becoming harder-and-harder to find in walk-in stores and buying them here is also more convenient than going to a walk-in store and with 0 respiratory virus risks.

This big-budget action thriller film of “Hostage” (2005) stars Bruce Willis.

It’s widescreen so you see more footage on the left and right sides providing for a better viewing experience assuming your TV is of a decent size (like most people now have) and you are not watching from really far away (and most people have their couch fairly close to the TV so this also is not usually an issue).

“The Santa Clause” (1994) DVD (NEW, sealed) Santa Claus Christmas Movie Film $14

This Christmas fantasy comedy film of “The Santa Clause” (1994) (starring Tim Allen as Scott Calvin/Santa Claus) was a critical-and-commercial success as it received positive reviews from critics and was a major hit and has since become 1 of the most popular movies of all-time for people to watch during Christmas season and some people also like that it’s a “fun for the whole family” sort of film. While my favorite Christmas movie is “Die Hard” (1988), I am a big action movie fan and so for many “The Santa Clause” (1994) is their favorite Christmas movie and even for me I thought it was a lot better than most Christmas movies so didn’t feel “this movie is too lame to enjoy.” In the film the character of Neal (played by Judge Reinhold) wanted for Christmas what was referred to in the movie as an “Oscar Mayer wienie whistle” (and stylized that way in the English subtitles) but never got 1 and then at the end of the movie 1 was shown given to him as a Christmas gift by Santa Claus and then Neal finally had his “Oscar Mayer wienie whistle” and feeling grateful and satisfied blew it his Christmas now being complete. And in part from this movie those whistles are very popular as a Christmas gifts and I sell separately all of the best types of them.

This is the “Widescreen Special Edition” (so the widescreen version of the Special Edition) as for this both versions exist. They never say on DVD covers “(the only version that exists)” like they should so to know requires the research project of doing a search on eBay then sifting through the results. Widescreen you see more footage on the left and right sides providing for a better viewing experience assuming your TV is of a decent size (like most people now have) and you are not watching from really far away (and most people have their couch fairly close to the TV so this also is not usually an issue).

This film is not only “THX Certified” (and even says so on the cover) but it also at the beginning has the THX Ltd. logo and then plays the sound out differently from all speakers which is especially neat in a movie theater (as they always have great sound) or if in your home if you have a good sound system. THX Ltd. In case you don’t know is the audio company developed by Lucasfilm in 1983 and their great audio style has since been used in many non-Lucasfilms such as this 1 which is a Walt Disney Pictures film.

On the bottom of the cover of the case it says “The Original Family Smash Hit!”
