800 Lumen COB LED Rechargeable Light with USB Charging Cable (NEW) Work Light, Keychain Flashlight, and Bottle Opener. $10

This is the 800 lumens version (not the less good 500 lumen version) and the version that comes with the USB (Universal Serial Bus) charging cable (not the less good version that doesn’t, and by the way for all of those listings they don’t say “does not include charging cable” they likely don’t include it). No type includes an AC power adapter as the idea is you would already own a USB charging station of some type like 1s commonly used for modern phones. It has a built-in rechargeable battery, a built-in magnet and stand on the back if wanting to attach to a metal surface or point “hands-free” to a specific area (which are often helpful features when used as a work light), a built-in carabiner for attaching to a keychain, and a built-in bottle opener function as well. It has a place to put a non-included mount at the bottom middle. When charging there is a very small light on it that goes from red-to-green when fully-charged so you are not left “guesstimating if it’s done charging.” Comes with a manual with the same instructions in English and 3 Asian languages and in addition to testing each light to make sure if it works I fold the manual so instead of it folded with an Asian language showing it shows English showing. Also comes in a good looking box and blank bubble wrap inside, and those 2 things make it look a little nicer if a gift.

The 1st picture shows the front of the light, the 2nd shows what the back of the light looks like, and the 3rd shows the light with its stand out and each shows everything it comes with.

If you press the on/off button 1ce it’s “almost full-bright,” press a 2nd time it’s “half-bright,” press a 3rd time “almost full-bright and now as a strobe light), and press a 4th time turns it off. And if you press the on/off button 1ce then hold it it goes to “truly full-bright” then when you release it stays at the setting and then if you press the on/off button 1ce it turns the light off.

COB (Chip-On-Board) is a high-efficiency integrated surface light source technology that directly attaches LED (Light-Emitting Diode) chips to a mirror metal substrate with high reflectivity. It is mainly used to solve the problems of low-power chips manufacturing high-power LEDs.

This is the brightest light for its size I have ever seen ao it’s great for anyone who just needs a bright light that’s compact and handy.

A more specific use for this light is this light is great for EDC (Every-Day Carry), if you want to build your own survival kit (like for a BOB (Bug-Out Bag) or BOV (Bug-Out Vehicle)), and emergency preparedness in general even if you don’t consider yourself a “prepper” and so then you would not have 1 of these lights for your BOV as you would instead call it your “vehicle.” And part of why it’s great for emergency preparedness in because it has the strobe light function that can be used for signaling.

Another more specific use for this light (even though other seller’s don’t market them for it) is as a party light for just the strobe light as they have a stand so can be pointed at a wall to reduce it getting as annoying as fast and also good for parties is the bottle opener feature to open some types of drinks common at parties.

And another more specific use for this light since it’s so bright (even though other seller’s also don’t market them for it) is as a great light for the partially visually impaired as they have an especially hard time seeing in the dark or dimly lit areas. (And as for those totally visually impaired they can’t see at all no matter how bright a light is so it of course won’t help them.)

The only things I don’t like about these is the rubberized on/off switch feels a lot like the rubberized cover for the charging cable on the other side so it’s easy especially in the dark to get mixed up (a way to remember it is “the bottle opener side is the charging side and the non-bottle opener side is the on/off switch side”) and while marketed by others mainly as a keychain light it is kind of big and heavy for 1 and the magnet can cause keys to stick to it magnetizing them and reducing the strength of the magnet but in some situations it would be good that you can just stick the magnet to something.

A rechargeable light is good for the environment because it doesn’t use up batteries that then get thrown away and then can leak toxic chemicals, and good for you because it saves you money on batteries.

This light if put on your keychain also functions as a key fob to find your keys in your pocket or purse and while it doesn’t make sense to have a key fob that function just as a key fob (such as a small plastic toy) a key fob like this that has an extra useful function is a good key fob to have around.

USGI Crookneck Flashlight in Black (NEW in box) Made in the USA $19

Hand Crank/Solar Power 3 LED Flashlight/AM/FM/WB Radio (NEW) Weather Band $34

Can charge phones and comes with all the adapters in the picture, you get everything in the pictures and comes in the box in the second picture. The box has a picture of a red and black one on it but the one you will get is all black. All black is the best color this type of product comes in if you bug out and don’t want to be found. Not all products like this have the ability to tune into WB (Weather Band) but this one does. Weather Band is: NOAA Weather Radio (NWR; also known as NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards) and is an automated 24-hour network of VHF FM weather radio stations in the United States that broadcast weather information directly from a nearby National Weather Service office. A good SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) is to leave the radio selected to WB and have it already tuned in to the best WB station that comes in in your area, then all you have to do is turn the radio on and you can start hearing information.

A hand crank & solar flashlight is good for the environment because it doesn’t use up batteries that then get thrown away and then can leak toxic chemicals, and good for you because it saves you money on batteries and also makes it so you always have light when you need it. Emergencies aren’t black and white so it’s not either everything is fine or it’s the apocalypse, there can be shades of gray in between minor emergencies like the power going out for a few hours at night and a flashlight like this can be used to read a book, see what you’re doing when you go to the bathroom, make a snack, etc so you’re not bumping around in the dark or just sitting in the dark bored.

Hand Crank/Solar Powered Orange 3 LED Flashlight (NEW in box) Wind-Up Dynamo $15

The LEDs make white light. It’s about 3.5”x2”x1.4” (90mmx50mmx34mm) big and weighs 0.15lb (70g) and has a 3.6v/40mAH built-in rechargeable lithium battery, amorphous silicon solar panel, and it’s made of ABS plastic. It’s designed to be hard to break and feels sturdy and well made and while it is made in China it doesn’t feel cheaply made like some Chinese products. LED flashlights also maintain nearly constant color temperature even when the batteries are declining while the color temperature of incandescent flashlights rapidly declines when the batteries are declining becoming redder and less visible.

The eyeglass repair kit we sell separately comes with 3 little screwdrivers, 1 of which is a philips that will work for this flashlight. The LED makes white light and is very bright. In addition to being able to turn it on by pressing it there is also a switch if you want to leave it on continuously.

Black Maglite Solitaire Flashlight with Keychain Attachment and Battery (NEW, sealed) Made in USA $13

Maglite is a brand name you can trust as they make quality and dependable flashlights and flashlight accessories. It has a durable aluminum alloy case so can’t easily break. It has an adjustable beam from “wide flood” to “intense spot” and a spare bulb in the tail cap and the beam distance is 20 meters. The extended key lead (keychain attachment) allows for the light beam and keys to be used in the same direction which is helpful if you were trying to unlock something in the dark and with it attached even if it doesn’t also have any keys attached to it it will prevent the flashlight from being able to roll off of a countertop or tabletop providing that advantage even though it’s now slightly bigger and slightly heavier. Takes and comes with one AAA battery and the battery you will get will be Duracell (also a trusted brand name) and will not be expired.

Lightweight, compact, portable, and great for emergencies. Also one of the nice things about using it as an emergency flashlight is that since it uses AAA batteries which are one of the most common and widely available types of batteries in existence it increases the odds that you will be able to find batteries for it in an emergency. And since you are not supposed to mix batteries of different brands, that have different expiration dates, or that have different amounts of life left in them even if from the same brand with the same expiration date as it reduces performance and can even cause them to leak or rupture and that can result in damaging the device they’re in, this means that since it only takes one battery that makes it 100% impossible for that problem to ever happen.

Sunbeam LED Flashlight in Black (NEW) 3x AAA Battery Powered Lamp Torch Light $6

This is the newest version of this product (from 2018) and instead of having 3 LEDs has 1 LED and a reflector. The one that you will get is black like the picture and in the same package as the picture. It’s a good brand; Sunbeam makes a lot of neat electronic stuff. It’s 100 lumens which is very bright. It has an aluminum body which means it would be tough to accidentally break it. It uses a very common type of battery (AAA) which is convenient. The package reads: “100 Lumens. Very bright light output. Aluminum body. On/Off button. Uses 3 x AAA batteries (sold separately).”

LED flashlights are brighter, use less energy, last longer before burning out, and are harder to break than incandescent flashlights. LED flashlights also maintain nearly constant color temperature even when the batteries are declining while the color temperature of incandescent flashlights rapidly declines when the batteries are declining becoming redder and less visible.

Model HRD-102 Digital FM Receiver Mini Radio with Earbuds (NEW) Slim Pocket Compact Portable Small $19

This digital radio is the Model HRD-102. It uses DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology and software programming to help it function as a great digital radio. It has a memory function to use for saving up to 5 of your favorite radio stations. If you want to keep it on one station switch “lock” on, this will keep it there even if other buttons are accidentally pressed. It has an LCD screen. It comes with earbuds. It even has a digital clock function. The FM frequency range is 60-108MHz. The color you will get is mostly dark gray like in the picture. Takes 2 AAA batteries (not included). Some small inexpensive radios have the earbuds permanently attached and no headphone jack, but these have a headphone jack so you have the option of using other earbuds or even little speakers. The headphone jack is the standard 3.5mm size. Comes with an English language only manual that is well written and has diagrams. Comes in the sturdy little box shown in the picture that helps ensure it will arrive undamaged, and is also nice for storing the radio if the radio is for yourself, and also makes it nicer as a gift if you are buying it as a gift. It has a handy slim style non-detachable belt clip that is always attached and a handy carrying strap that comes not attached (it’s super easy to attach, you just put the loop through the hole for it in the top right corner of the radio, then put the rest of the carrying strap through the loop and pull tight).

Lightweight, compact, portable, and great for emergencies. Also one of the nice things about using it as an emergency radio is that since it uses AAA batteries which are one of the most common and widely available types of batteries in existence it increases the odds that you will be able to find batteries for it in an emergency. Also, since it has an LCD screen that tells you which radio station you’re on there’s no educated guessing like with auto scan only radios or dial radios where where you are just educated guessing based on the music or talking you are hearing and then you have to wait for the radio station announcer to say what radio station it is to be 100% sure and you can go to the radio station you want faster as well and it also has auto scan which is nice so then it stops automatically at any radio station with a decent signal. And to go up one radio station increment tap “TUN+” and to go down one radio station increment tap “TUN-” and to auto scan up hold down “TUN+” and to auto scan down hold down “TUN-.”

During emergencies you can learn important news from radio stations and if no radio stations are broadcasting in an area where they normally are even that tells you important news… because then the news is the scope of the emergency must be huge.

It’s made of mainly plastic. It has a film covering the LCD screen that you can peel off. The color you will get is black like in the picture. Takes 1 AAA battery (included). Comes with a mini keyring so it can be attached to a lanyard or larger keyring (lanyard not included and larger keyring not included). Music format: MP1, MP2, MP3, WMA, WMV, ASF, and WAV. SNR: >85dB. To change the batteries pull the cap off then slide the battery cover off. Even if you don’t want to use it as an MP3 player, voice recorder, or flash drive it still makes a nice little FM radio. To use the FM radio: hold the play button until the screen lights up, switch the mode button to select FM, then press the mode button in (the mode button does not look like a button that can be pushed in especially since you can switch it from side-to-side but it can be pushed in), then switch the mode button to scan up and down the dial and the screen will show which station you’re on. If you want to keep it on one station switch “hold” on, this will keep it there even if other buttons are accidentally pressed.

Lightweight, compact, portable, and great for emergencies. Also one of the nice things about using it as an emergency radio is that since it uses AAA batteries which are one of the most common and widely available types of batteries in existence it increases the odds that you will be able to find batteries for it in an emergency. Dekko DK-9921 Auto Scan FM Radio/Flashlight with Earphones (NEW) Portable Mini $15

Since it has a flashlight function besides just being useful as a radio it’s also useful as a flashlight. It has an antenna that telescopes out but still gets pretty good reception even with the antenna not telescoped out at all. How you use one is: The top button with the light symbol (a light emitting light) activates the light. The middle button with the stop symbol (a square) holds it at the station you are on even if other buttons are accidentally pressed. The bottom button with the auto scan symbol (a sideways triangle with a vertical line at the tip) activates the auto scan to try and find the next radio station that has good reception with the radio and when it finds a radio station that has good reception with the radio it automatically stops on it until the auto scan button is pressed again. The dial on the side turns the radio on when you turn it down slightly and hear a “click” and after the radio is on the more you turn the dial down the more the volume is turned up but the dial does NOT adjust what radio station you are on, only the auto scan button adjusts what radio station you are on.

Lightweight, compact, portable, and great for emergencies. Also one of the nice things about using it as an emergency radio is that since it uses AA batteries which are one of the most common and widely available types of batteries in existence it increases the odds that you will be able to find batteries for it in an emergency.

Compact ANENG 168Max Digital Battery Tester for 9-Volt, AA, AAA, etc Batteries (NEW) Mini Small Tiny $14

I searched far-and-wide and determined that this is the best digital battery tester on the market so is the only digital 1 I sell. It’s powered by the battery you’re testing itself (which is a better way to go than a similar-size battery tester on the market that uses watch batteries to power it) and the scale is an exact measurement of how good the battery is (unlike a similar size battery tester on the market that has 3 LEDs (Light-Emitting Diodes) that light-up). While there’s a larger version of this battery tester I sell on the market that’s about 4 times as big it just does the same stuff this 1 does and nothing extra so I just carry this more compact version (even though it costs me a little bit more) because if 2 things can do the same stuff but one is just more compact it’s best to go with the more compact 1.

Its movable arm is spring-loaded so it will always store the most compactly and also so it will grasp batteries easily and that movable arm is used to test AA, AAA, C, and D batteries and 1.5 volt button cell batteries (and to use it touch the positive side of the battery to the tip of the movable arm (where it is labeled with a “+” for positive) and touch the negative side of the battery below the tip of the movable arm (where it is labeled with a “-” for negative)) and it has a port on the side to test 9-volt batteries (and to use it touch the positive side of the battery to the smaller size terminal at the top (and the positive side is smaller for the battery and for the terminal) and touch the negative side of the battery to the larger size terminal at the bottom (and the negative side is larger for the battery and for the terminal)). The front is labeled “ANENG 168Max.”

Everyone should have a battery tester in their residence where they store batteries for everyday use and for testing extra batteries to make sure they’re still good for emergency preparedness.

I have 3 in stock and can get more.

Compact Analog Battery Tester for 9-Volt, AA, AAA, etc Batteries (NEW) Mini Small Tiny $12

I searched far-and-wide and determined that this is the best analog battery tester on the market so is the only analog 1 I sell. It has an easy to read color coded scale that has text in addition to being color coded in the universal standardized way. The front is labeled “BATTERY TESTER” and the back says “Red = Replace. Yellow = Low. Green = Good.”

Everyone should have a battery tester in their residence where they store batteries for everyday use and for testing extra batteries to make sure they’re still good for emergency preparedness.
